In this article, we are going to learn how to create storage policy, which a prerequisite to Enable Tanzu on vsphere<\/span><\/p>\n

1- First step, Create Tag and Category<\/span><\/p>\n

we select the the datastore, and click on assign<\/span><\/p>\n

Click on Add Tag<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Put the name on Tag, and click Create New Category<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Put the name of category, click on One Tag and select All Objects<\/span><\/p>\n

Click on Create\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Now select the Category created, and click on Create<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Select also the Tag created, and click on Assign<\/span><\/p>\n

2- Second Step, go on menu -> Content Libraries<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Select VM Storage Policies, and click on Create<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Put the name on the storage policy and click Next<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Select the check-box Enable tag based placement rules<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Select the Category and choose the Tag<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Select the right datastore, and click next<\/span><\/p>\n
