There are two ways to Install an NSX Edge VM via the UI:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>Option 1 \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Install NSX-T Edge Node on ESXi using vSphere UI<\/span>
\nOption 2 \u2013<\/strong> Install NSX-T Edge Node on ESXi using NSX-T Manager UI \u2013\u00a0this article<\/em><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1. System -> Fabric -> Nodes -> Edge Transport Nodes -> Add Edge Node<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Enter the name, FQDN and select the \u201cform factor\u201d. Click Next:<\/span>
\nNote:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0For production only medium and large size are supported.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

3. Enter the \u201cadmin\u201d, \u201croot\u201d and \u201caudit\u201d passwords and click Next:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

4. Select the Compute Manager, Cluster, Host and Datastore, Click Next:<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Select Static and enter the IP, DG and the \u201cPort Group\u201d as Management Interface. Specify the Domain Names, DNS and NTP Servers:<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Select the Overlay Transport Zone. Select the Overlay N-VDS from the drop-down menu, uplink profile, IP Pool, DPDK fastpath interface and click ADD N-VDS, as shown in the screenshot below:<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Select the first ToR N-VDS from the drop-down menu, uplink profile, DPDK fastpath interface as and click ADD N-VDS, as shown in the screenshot below:<\/span><\/p>\n

8. Select the second ToR N-VDS from the drop-down menu, uplink profile, DPDK fastpath interface as and click ADD N-VDS, as shown in the screenshot below:<\/span><\/p>\n

9. and now click on Finish to deploy EDGE Node<\/span><\/p>\n

Edge VM deployment progress can also be monitored by logging on to the vCenter -> \u201cRecent Tasks\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Monitor the \u201cConfiguration Status\u201d tab and once complete the \u201cConfiguration Status\u201d will then show \u201cSuccess\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

10. System -> Fabric -> Nodes -> Edge Clusters -> ADD:<\/span><\/p>\n

11. Specify the name, \u201cnsx-default-edge-high-availability-profile\u201d, member type and select the Edge Appliance you would like to add and click right arrow:<\/span>
\nNote:<\/strong> Select either the \u201cEdge Node\u201d from the \u201cMember Type\u201d drop-down menu or if the virtual machine is deployed in a public cloud environment, select Public Cloud Gateway.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
